Peng Shiquan, deputy director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, highlighted the significance of data in the modern economy at the recent High-Level International Data Cooperation Forum.

"The development of the data economy requires not only government policy guidance and support but also active participation and innovative investment from enterprises," he stated.

Several international companies and institutions, including Shanghai Lin-gang Special Area Cross-Border Data Technology Co Ltd, AQ Compute, Morrow Consulting, B4B, Aifinity Plus, and Bilvio, signed agreements to establish an international data cooperation exchange workstation. This collaboration aims to foster international data cooperation and promote the growth of the digital economy.

Additionally, a notable agreement was signed between Lin-gang Special Area Cross-Border Data Technology and AQ Compute, a German-based tech company specializing in providing green, flexible, and modular data center hosting services within the European Union. This partnership aims to create a high-level China-Europe international data economy cooperation platform.

Furthermore, Lin-gang Special Area Cross-Border Data Technology signed an agreement with Denodo, an influential global data management company from Spain, to establish a joint lab for data fabric technology services. Denodo, led by founder and CEO Angel Vina, a pioneer in data virtualization and logical data fabric, entered the Chinese market in 2020. This collaboration will focus on cross-border data flow.

To ensure secure and orderly cross-border data flow, Lin-gang Special Area Cross-Border Data Technology also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI). CESI, a key national research institution in electronic information technology standardization, will work with Lin-gang Special Area Cross-Border Data Technology on data security compliance and aligning work with international trade rules.
