The launch ceremony of the China-Italy Lin-gang Innovation Cooperation Park was held on Nov 6 as part of the ongoing 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE). The Lin-gang Special Area Administration signed cooperation agreements with organizations and enterprises, including the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, the international law firm King & Wood Mallesons, the premium chocolate enterprise Venchi, and leading Italian machine tool manufacturer PAMA.

The Lin-gang Special Area Administration also signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Shanghai and Milan branches of the Bank of China (BOC). These concerned strategies for global investment promotion in 2025. The two sides will take full advantage of BOC's globalization, and actively promote the gathering of Italian companies in the China-Italy Lin-gang Innovation Cooperation Park.

Wu Xiaohua, deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China's working committee for the Lin-gang Special Area, made a presentation on Lin-gang and the China-Italian park. Lin-gang is attracting more multinational companies to establish and develop in the city as a result of strategic advantages, such as its location, a more open institutional offering, and having access to world-class advanced industrial clusters.

The initial layout of the park features a Sino-Italian industrial cooperation service center, an industrial park, and an industrial expansion area to accommodate various companies from Italy and other countries in Europe. The surrounding commercial blocks, international schools and communities, and entertainment facilities will provide a livable environment for expats in Lin-gang.
