The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is poised to open its doors in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, drawing participation from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, with 4,108 overseas exhibitors. Covering over 430,000 square meters, the exhibition area is a new record in scale.

Since 2018, the seven past CIIE editions have featured over 3,000 new products, technologies, and services, with expected transaction volumes surpassing $500 billion, and have drawn 23,000 international exhibitors.

The "exhibitor-to-investor" transformation effect continues to grow stronger. More exhibitors are not only introducing cutting-edge innovations into China but also making substantial investments and increasing their local presence.

Boston Scientific, a worldwide leader in medical technology that has never missed an edition, will showcase more than 80 innovations in minimally invasive interventions this year. This includes six new launches and 22 products moving from exhibits to commercial offerings.

Last October, Boston Scientific finished building its factory in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area. The facility has already produced four product prototypes, moving towards local IVUS catheter manufacturing by 2026 and accelerating global accessibility of cutting-edge technologies.
