COMAC (Shanghai) Aviation Engineering Technology Co Ltd signed a land use agreement with the Lin-gang Special Area Administration in Shanghai on Dec 19 on a project for improving its maintenance and refurbishment capabilities.

Thanks to Lin-gang's efforts to streamline administrative approval procedures, the company secured construction land and project planning permits, a land delivery confirmation letter, and its real estate ownership certificate on the same day.

This milestone marked the first instance in Shanghai where a construction project was approved for land use and was issued the real estate ownership certificate on the day of signing the land use agreement. It symbolizes the further optimization and enhancement of the business environment and project approval services in the Lin-gang Special Area.

Covering an area of approximately 183 mu (12.2 hectares) with a total investment of up to 1.6 billion yuan ($219 million), the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, offering refurbishment services to global airlines.

Since the strategic investment agreement was signed, a specialized service team has been established to provide tailored services and guidance to the company, underscoring the dedication of Lin-gang to fostering a conducive environment for the growth of businesses in the area.
