With the advantages of a cluster of world-class enterprises, innovative policies and systems as well as open application scenarios, the Lin-gang Special Area – located in East China's Shanghai – has gathered a number of AI enterprises including autonomous driving, intelligent terminals, AI chips and data services.

Well-known entrepreneurs and experts were invited to share their insights and advice about the AI industry to coincide with the start of operations of the Dishui Lake AI Innovation Hub, which is expected to accelerate the development of the AI industry in the Lin-gang Special Area.

When I first came to Lin-gang, I was deeply impressed by the farsighted and very efficient staff members here. The business environment and industrial agglomeration were also the reasons I chose Lin-gang as our headquarters four years ago.

We have made fruitful achievements during the past four years. For example, we developed the first chip supporting TF32 data accuracy and the largest single chip for artificial intelligence computing in China in 2021.

As Chinese AI pioneers such as SenseTime launched supercomputing centers in Lin-gang, we are confident in providing the infrastructure for algorithms and computing chips. Lin-gang also has policies to encourage the purchase of products from enterprises in the area and provides certain price concessions.

Focusing on both integrated circuits and AI, we are looking forward to the Dishui Lake AI Innovation Hub, which will accelerate the industrial agglomeration of upstream and downstream enterprises and enrich application scenarios.

Lin-gang's advantageous talent policy is of great significance for helping start-ups like us to attract high-end talent from overseas.

We have grown from a few people to nearly 800 employees, 80 percent of whom have master's or doctor's degrees, and 90 percent of whom work in research and development.
