The first intelligent shuttle bus route to be established in the Lin-gang Special Area – located in East China's Shanghai – started operations on April 3.

The route is 10.75 kilometers in length and will run 24 shuttle buses per day. Every so-called robobus – also known as an intelligent minibus – accommodates nine passengers on a first come, first served basis.

The route originates from Yunduan Road and South Xinyuan Road and proceeds to Canghai Road and Yunshui Road, connecting other places including Jiangshan Road and Cenglin Road.

The implementation of the intelligent minibus service provides the employees of the Lin-gang industrial parks with a novel way of travelling.

It offers multi-dimensional shuttle services tailed to short-distance commuters for their needs for work, medical treatment and entertainment.
