The new online Science Digital Library of LinGang, whose premises is located on the left of the permanent venue for the World Laureates Association, or WLA Forum – in the Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai city – is expected to start operating in June 2023.

The building itself will start trial operation at the end of 2022.

The facility – currently finishing construction – is a meta library based on human science, history and a cultural system with immersive digital experiences as the main interactive mode.

Committed to creating a new reading experience for readers, the venue includes an image reception area, a professional service area, a traditional reading area and a digital experience area.

A virtual laboratory in the professional service area is equipped with advanced VR equipment and the free traversal of the real and virtual worlds can be realized by integrating the operating system of the real-world working environment.

Various multi-functional exhibition areas in the digital experience area will accommodate a comprehensive and rich knowledge system, which can meet the various intellectual needs of users.
