Figures show that 18,700 job positions were posted by over 720 enterprises at the fair.
Local authorities rolled out a plan to attract more people to come and settle in the area, especially top talents from overseas. The plan proposed a set of favorable measures, such as fostering high-end industrial clusters, improving basic education and expanding the supply of medical resources.
Lin-gang Special Area aims to provide subsidies for interns from top international universities and settlement subsidies for urgently needed overseas talent.
It is also formulating an international talent plan and has signed pacts with eight overseas subsidiary agencies to attract highly qualified human resources.
For domestic businesses, 20 leading Chinese universities – including Peking, Fudan and Shanghai Jiao Tong universities – were recognized as bases to serve Lin-gang's recruitment drive.
