The government affairs office of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau at the Shanghai Public Security Bureau recently expanded the services provided by its dedicated window that handles the work and residence affairs of expat residents.

With immediate effect, the Lin-gang Special Area – along with the Pudong New Area, the Hongqiao International Central Business District and the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone – will pilot the extension of their single windows for expat work and residence affairs to include foreign personnel holding B-class work permits, in addition to those with A-class permits.

The designated service centers for the single window include the Pudong Zhangjiang exit and entry administration office, the Pudong Lin-gang exit and entry administration office, the Pudong Waigaoqiao exit and entry administration office, the Minhang exit and entry administration office and the Qingpu exit and entry administration office.

Furthermore, Shanghai has introduced online pre-acceptance services for personal visa applications by foreign individuals at ports.

This streamlines the process for inviting foreign individuals for urgent business purposes, allowing online application submissions and simplified entry procedures.
