A world-leading, fully automated flower production center covering an area of five hectares has been developed at Shanghai Flower Port – which is located in the city of the same name and is on the coast of the East China Sea.

It is built by the Shanghai Flower and Horticulture Group – a subsidiary of the Bright Food Group – and it comes equipped with an advanced intelligent controls system.

Staff members there can remotely control all aspects of planting, grading, packaging and run the entire flower production line process using a computer or a handheld mobile device.

As the world's influential source of pineapple seeds, the company has an annual output of 60 million pineapple seedlings, of which 70-80 percent are exported abroad.

At present, the company has applied for the intellectual property rights of 13 new varieties of anthurium, of which eight have been authorized by the national new plant variety rights body, which is at the leading level in the industry.
