SPDB Financial Leasing Co has recently launched a cross-border distributed photovoltaic power station project through its SPV (special purpose vehicle) established in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area. This is the first such project in the financial leasing industry, signifying a crucial step forward in cross-border leasing services supporting the special area's real economy.

Behind the success of the project is the series of institutional innovations introduced by the Lin-gang Special Area since June 2025. It has introduced the new energy industrial equipment, power batteries, intelligent manufacturing equipment, and industrial mother machines as leasable assets for SPVs.

As a pilot enterprise, SPDB Financial Leasing Co, leveraging Lin-gang's strong cross-border capital flow and efficient foreign-related services, collaborated with a photovoltaic developer to integrate cross-border green finance with the real economy.

To further optimize the business environment, Lin-gang has introduced the first public leasing trade warehouse supervised by the customs, reducing storage and customs costs and enhancing the efficiency of equipment export leasing businesses.

This cross-border project not only marks a breakthrough in Lin-gang's leasing service capabilities but also provides a replicable model for similar international new energy projects.
