China-Malaysia trans-border trusted data space unveiled
The China-Malaysia Trans-border Trusted Data Space (TTDS) was unveiled at a recent event marking the launch of the Strategic AI Infrastructure of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital, as the two countries strive to deepen cooperation on the "Digital Twin Cities" project.
Shanghai International Data Port and Malaysian tech company Skyvast Corporation jointly developed the China-Malaysia TTDS, providing more reliable infrastructure tailored to the specific needs of cross-border situations, with the key areas being Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area and Cyberjaya, Malaysia's smart city and innovation hub.

It will support businesses in areas such as intelligent computing services, AI outsourcing, digital trade, cross-border research collaboration, and multinational supply chain coordination.
Through an efficient, convenient, and secure mechanism for cross-border data flow, it seeks to reduce the costs and compliance risks associated with cross-border data for businesses, facilitating orderly data exchange and cooperation.
Looking ahead, Shanghai International Data Port will leverage the China-Malaysia TTDS and the "Digital Twin Cities" cooperation mechanism to more deeply integrate technology, industry, and rules in order to help connect enterprises efficiently with international resources, unlock the value of data resources, and create a landscape of mutually beneficial cooperation in the digital economy.
