Camping trips have become a mainstream activity in the special area, with the Realm of Stars – Shanghai's biggest sponge park – and ChunHuaQiuSe Park being major destinations during the holiday.

In order to offer better services for camping, ChunHuaQiuSe Park provided support services for barbecues and recreational vehicles. There were also some recreational activities, such as kayaking and archery on offer.
